In all things give praise & rejoice, Honesta Obtinete And labour together with pride, Honesta Obtinete. To honour strength of mind, to comfort the fearful of heart, Hold fast to that which is good, Hold fast to truth and right. For we are the children of light, Honesta Obtinete And we are the children of day, Honesta Obtinete Quench not the Spirit that seeks to follow the vision of seers. Hold fast to that which is good, Hold fast to truth and right. Be watchful & sober in thought; Honesta Obtinete Thus cometh the wisdom & power. Honesta Obtinete Put on the breastplate of faith; the helmet of love and hope. Hold fast to that which is good. Hold fast to truth and right. Lyrics: Miss E. M. Deveson Music: (an old hymn titled ?) |

| SONJA (nee HOWARTH) GOREHAM wrote: "What I learned from RBS and more specifically the Dalton Plan, was to rely on myself when it really matters." |
By SYLVIA G. KASTELL (nee Greenfield) - S.S.S. 1916-1919. "When I ask myself the question: 'What did School do for me? I find that three things stand out. First it gave me everlasting belief in the value of freedom, freedom to work alone & freedom to organise for oneself. Secondly I learnt the importance of playing one's part in any community, to be a citizen of the world as well as a citizen of the school. I developed a firm conviction that it is those who put most into school life, who contribute most, who get most fun out of it. Most important of all, I left school with an absolute belief that I could surmount mountains, provided I really wanted to and worked hard enough." |
